Bannon afirma também que a relação da banda com as diferentes labels, em especial a actual colaboração com a Epitaph de Brett Gurewitz, guitarrista e fundador da instituição punk que são os Bad Religion:
"The relationship we have with Epitaph is probably the healthiest relationship I've ever known of a band and a record label. As a band, we're pretty self-sufficient, we don't ask for much from our labels that we're affiliated with."
"Axe To Fall" é um seríssimo candidato aos lugares do topo da maioria das listas típicas de final do ano, pelo menos no que ao metal extremo diz respeito e trata-se realmente de uma obra-prima de hard core técnico, contando com a colaboração de nomes tão díspares como Steve Von Till dos Neurosis, os Genghis Tron ou mesmo Ulve dos death metallers suecos Emtombed. Será que o hype, justificado, sobe à cabeça dos Converge?
"You do it because you love it. You love creating honest, sincere music. Critics and other things don't matter. It's completely irrelevant. I appreciate accolades from people just like anyone else but it's not something that drives our band (...) We're not trying to be the biggest band or the best band in the world. We're trying to be the best band we can be as the four individuals that we are."
